BA ( Hons) Fashion Design (Fulltime 4 years Duration)

This course prepares you for a career in fashion. The BA (Hons) Fashion Design is a skills-based course, where you have the opportunity to explore your ideas both two- and three-dimensionally, using a broad variety of techniques and approaches in exciting and challenging projects.

The course has excellent links with industry both through live projects and external competitions as well as collaborations with industry experts. The diverse staffing base brings a wealth of professional experience - many staff members continue to work in fashion, ensuring that practice and teaching in the course reflects the latest industry standards.

  • Introduction to design and instruction in pattern and production
  • Drawing and portfolio skills
  • Computer technology both pattern (computer-aided manufacture) and presentation (computer-aided design)
  • Bespoke tailoring and creative cutting techniques
  • Introduction into the textile print resource and a collaborative project with Fashion Textiles: Print to design, produce and market a collection

  • Design, development and production of a collection (menswear or womenswear) leading to a catwalk presentation

BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion & Imaging (Fulltime 4 years Duration)

This unique and exciting course teaches the intellectual, practical and professional skills you need to succeed in a career in promotion and communication for the global fashion industry. You have the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of research, experimentation and realization, as well as new practices and innovations within fashion promotion, communication and image generation.
Our ethos is based on the premise of promoting a creative and in-depth investigation of fashion in a social context. Irrespective of whether you engage in a practical exploration or a more theoretical, written exposition, you are encouraged to consider the critical and cultural context of your subject.

M.Des. Fashion Design (Fulltime 2 years Duration)

MA Fashion Design is designed for those with a desire to challenge and expand the established discipline of fashion and meets the changing demands of contemporary design culture and the fashion industry.
Throughout the course you combine technical expertise with conceptual thinking, learning through a variety of media and considering both the creative core and the progressive peripheries of fashion.
This course suits those who work, or aspire to work, within the extended field of the fashion system. This field is defined by the application of fashion's ever-changing search for expression and conceptualization to other creative professions, as well as by the production of clothes and accessories, and theoretical reflection.
Throughout the course you combine technical expertise with conceptual thinking, learning through a variety of media, considering both the creative core and the progressive peripheries of fashion.

MBA Fashion Management & Marketing (Fulltime 2years Duration)

The MBA Fashion Management & Marketing course prepares you for a fashion management career in the domestic or international fashion industry by delivering an innovative and relevant fashion business curriculum.
Working closely with fashion industry professionals, fashion organizations and industry role models and mentors, on the masters course you develop a diverse skill base that will enable you to have a wider, clearer and more relevant understanding of the business of management and marketing behind the fashion industry.
This course provides inside knowledge of industry strategies and cultures on a global basis combined with a strong grounding in key business skills including: finance; risk; leadership; organizational and change management; strategy; marketing and entrepreneurship.
In addition you also develop essential knowledge on industry management specific to fashion - strategic innovation and technology, product sourcing and supply chain management issues.
