Dr. Yugendera Gupta joined MIT Institute of Design as a Lecturer. He is a Graduate in Fine Arts from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, Post Graduate in Graphic Art from Vishva Bharati, West Bengal and Ph.D. from Rajasthan University. He has also qualified the NET-JRF of the UGC. He has about 10 years experience in various educational institutes.
Gupta's art works are exhibited at State, National and International level exhibitions. As a freelance artist he has worked as a backstage artist - set designer for theatre and television, and worked as a muralist in the private sector. He has got expertise in lithography, etching, woodcut and linocut.
In painting he excels in acrylic on canvas, oil on canvas and mixed media. Fresco in murals and wall painting, and paper mache. Craft making is another area of interest.

He has published papers in journals and has attended conferences related to research in art. He is interested in teaching and learning different aspects of the design domain. He is currently involved in the foundation year courses with the PG and UG students at the MIT ID.
