MAEER's MIT Institute of Design and Mahindra composites sign up MOU.

The Mahindra Composites Pimpri, Pune and MAEER's MIT Institute of Design , Loni Kalbhor, Pune have signed a MoU on 18 th March 2008 to promote Design, research, training, exchange of information and technology . The authorized signatories were Mr.Ajit lele Chief Executive Officer Mahindra Composites and Prof.H.K Vyas Chairman Education Council MAEER's MIT Institute of Design. Mr.Ajit Lele was quite impressed with the environment of the Design habitat and the approach of institute towards design training in design.

Mahindra composites having its expertise in technology, know-how, & design in engineered polymer composites would facilitate knowledge & know-how for the benefit of the young design learners of MAEER's MIT Institute of Design. Both the parties will work towards strengthening teaching, research and extension components through expert resources exchange/improvement programmes and participation in each others workshops/conferences etc.
MAAER's MIT Institute of Design aims to create a design community with an intension to cater to not only the big industry but also to the small scale and rural industries and handicrafts sector. It has a social goal of developing, encouraging rural design and products for the needy and the large disadvantaged population in India . The institute aims at leveraging India 's heritage, design capabilities, aesthetics and creative genius to become a “Design Hub”. The institutes approach to design education will reflect the emergence of knowledge economy and convergence of media, communication, entertainment and information.
