| Indian students will soon be able to study on one of the University for the Creative Arts’ (UCA) fashion courses in their native country, thanks to a new collaboration. MIT Institute of Design Pune has collaborated with the UCA, that will see the UCA popular undergraduate courses in Fashion, and Fashion Management and Marketing delivered on Indian soil. |
| The courses will feature the same content as those delivered in the UK, with students studying the very latest design and promotional techniques. The two institutions are also working together to create two new postgraduate courses that will be delivered in India – an MDes Fashion Design and MBA Fashion Management and Marketing. |
| The undergraduate courses will commence for the first time in July 2012 with post-graduate courses beginning in July 2013 Dr Sunil Karad, Executive Director of MIT Institute of Design said: “The fashion industry in India has seen rapid growth in recent years, and fashion graduates are very much in demand. |
| “This new agreement between MIT Design and UCA will make first class fashion education available to Indian students in their native country, enabling them to make the most of the exciting new job opportunities that are emerging.” |
