Product Design
Chaitanya is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Pune. He has done his M. Tech in Manufacturing-Automation from the Government College of Engineering, Pune. He has worked with various organizations such as Dana Holding Corporation, Prime Technology and Automation, and Force Motors and has worked extensively on design development projects in automation and automotive.
He was instrumental in setting up the Rapid Prototyping Cell at the MIT, Pune, and offered design and prototyping consulting to various organizations. He was a committee member of Robocon International 2008 & 2014 and developed contest themes.
He is also instrumental in setting up prototyping labs at MITID. He, along with his faculty team-mates, has successfully completed several departmental and consultancy projects.

He has published several research papers and also mentored various students' projects across design and engineering domains. He has successfully completed training on Design Factory Concept organized at Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland to comprehend a model of multi-disciplinary project based experimental learning.

He has received a special certificate award by Thermax Ltd., Pune for his significant contribution in setting up Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).

In summary, Chaitanya is a passionate teacher enjoying teaching and learning experiences in the design environment. His prime objective is to articulate the technology component in design; in a manner that it should be effectively pursued by design learners.
