Vandana Nautiyal comes from Textile and Marketing background with varied experience in Industry and Academics. She holds a Diploma and Graduate Degree in Textile Design and Post Graduate Diploma in Textile Management from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textile and Management, Coimbatore. Principally managing Creative Industries has been the scope of her work experience. She is a keen researcher with interest in areas like Sustainable business models, Innovation, Business and Design Strategies. She has presented and published her work at various renowned Platforms in these areas.

Before joining MIT Institute of Design she has been associated with organisations like Godrej, School of Art and Fashion Technology, Ratan Jaipur Pvt. Ltd., The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She was also associated and actively worked with an NGO for Textile (Jute and Sisal) Handicraft Product Development where she was appointed as Trainer to various SHG Clusters for National Centre for Jute Diversification Programmes. She owns her own Textile Jewellery Label ‘Mandala’.

She believes that today design isn’t powerful until it is applied and propagated to its end users through business. A good designer is never enough until he learns the Art of Business.
