Tilak Deepak Roy is an alumnus of IIT Bombay, IIM Indore and MITID Pune with Master of Design specialized in Mobility and Vehicle Design.
He is an ‘I Design Award’ winning designer and is responsible for the design of the India’s first two indigenously developed cruise ships, namely MV Sindhu and MV Nalanda, built by Cochin Shipyard Limited.
His work has been published in several Italian luxury yacht magazines such as Nautica, Superyacht International, and was featured at the Millennium Yacht Design Award.
His industry experience includes leading Industrial and Marine Design projects at companies such as Reliance Industries Ltd., Freedom Cruise Line Inc., SEDS Marine Designers, among others. He has worked on a wide range of projects, including Metro and Railway Coach Design (filed multiple patents), Rapid Transit Vehicles, City at Sea, Cruise Ship Design, Ferry Boat Design and more. He had received a research grant for Agricultural Drone Project from Govt. of India and is actively performing research on Emergency Rescue vehicles.
He enjoys creating art works and producing music.
