We have a strong team of 60+ full time faculty members with a rich and diverse experience in industry and academics. We regularly engage with the industry partners and take up live projects. We follow the professional standards and best practices of project management to create optimum value for our industry partners. We also ensure that the confidentiality is maintained and the appropriate IP transfer processes are followed in these engagements.

As a premier design institute, we regularly conduct workshops for training, self-development and learning of our students. The institute is facilitated with well-equipped Library, Computer Labs with software as per industry standard, Incubation/ Accelerator Center (Design Gild), Clay Sculpting Studio and many more. We are also equipped with Wood Cutting Workshop, Metal Cutting Workshop and Advanced Prototyping Workshop with all latest CNC, Laser Cutting & 3D printing setup.

We undertake consultancy projects based on the deliverables.

Classroom Projects

We undertake live projects to support our curricular across all the disciplines. In this model, a group of students from a particular class will work on providing the design solution under the guidance of the appointed faculty.

Faculty Projects

Faculties are already involved in various types of government, private and social welfare related projects. Students can choose to be a part of such projects for their own exposure.

Design Lab

Design Lab is an attempt to make students Industry ready by the time they graduate. This is a unique collaboration where industries collaborate with an objective of generating ideas under the guidance of faculty and industry mentor. Those ideas can be passed on to the respective design team, which can be further moulded into workable solutions. This acts as a great source of clarity regarding changes required for implementation of those ideas.

Social Innovation Projects

Social welfare is an integral part of MIT ID’s culture. There have been diverse projects in Health care, Sanitation, Community Development, women safety and security and Child development to name a few.
