Process

PHASE 1: MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test)

MIT DAT is a common entrance exam for admissions in Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programmes at MIT Institute of Design Pune, Avantika University Ujjain and MIT University Shillong. It is conducted at various centres across the country, View List of Test Cetres. MITID reserves its right to change or cancel any of these centres. Based on scores obtained from DAT, shortlisted candidates will be called for second phase.

PHASE 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview

Studio Test and Personal Interview is conducted at MITID campus in Pune. The second phase of the admission procedure will consist of studio tests followed by personal interviews at Institute in Pune.

The result of shortlisted candidates for the Second Phase will be announced on MITID website.

No separate call letters will be sent to the shortlisted candidates. All those candidates called for the second phase are required to attend the studio tests and interview, which completes the process of selection.

The Admission Committee decides the procedures, grades and weightage every year.

The norms for the selection are the sole prerogative of the Admission Committee and the decision of the Admission Committee and the Management in any of the matters concerning the admission process and selection will be final. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the admission committee or its members, academic office bearers or management will lead to the automatic disqualification of the candidate(s).

An automated verification link
will be sent to your registered
email ID. Activate your account
by clicking the link.

Provide the required details in
the application form & upload
the necessary documents.

Accept the declaration
and submit the online
application form.

Proceed to payment option and
pay ₹3000 for Indian applicants
and ₹4500 for NRI, PIO, OCI
& Foreign Nationals.

On scrutiny, verification and
acceptance of application form,
Admit card will be generated
and sent to candidates
registered email id.

NOTE:
Candidates can also download the Admit Card by login to his/her profile on MIT DAT portal.
Applications are invited through online mode only.

MIT DAT (MIT Design Aptitude Test) 2024, is conducted jointly for admissions of B.Des & M.Des
programs at MIT Institute of Design (MIT ID) Pune, Avantika University Ujjain & MIT University Shillong.

Last date for submission of application form is 29th February 2024.
Design Aptitude Test will be conducted on 07th April 2024.

The M.Des Transcultural Design programme is conducted in collaboration of Le’ Ecole France. In case there are any vacant seats in a particular discipline it will be transferred to other disciplines where there are more candidates in waiting list. Intake for NRI, PIO, OCI & International students will be maximum 10 % over and above of regular intake. Rules of reservations apply as per the prevalent Government of Maharashtra directives.
