Udit Parekh is a designer, illustrator, and educator whose practice explores visual storytelling through the intersections of craft, materiality, and communication design. A graduate in Interior Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, and a Master’s graduate in Animation and Illustration from Cardiff School of Art and Design, his work spans branding, illustration, spatial graphics, installations, and narrative-driven visual systems.
Drawing from his background in spatial design and his engagement with Indian craft traditions, Udit investigates how materials, techniques, and making processes can shape visual narratives and generate contemporary visual languages. Through his long-standing association with CraftCanvas, he has collaborated with architects, artisans, and designers to create murals, installations, and storytelling-led visual experiences that bridge traditional craft knowledge with contemporary design practice.
His years as a Teaching Associate and Visiting Faculty at CEPT University played a significant role in shaping his interdisciplinary approach to design and education. His interests include visual storytelling, illustration, narrative systems, craft knowledge, material exploration, and the relationship between image, space, and communication.
