Asst. Prof. Ankita Sinha is a media educator, broadcast journalist, researcher, and storyteller who brings together the worlds of journalism, design, and emerging media technologies. Having worked across television newsrooms and higher education, believes that design and communication are most impactful when creativity is combined with technical expertise and critical thinking.

Began professional journey in the television news industry with leading national news networks including TIMES NOW, MIRROR NOW and CNBC-TV18. During her newsroom career, she was involved in production, editorial planning, live broadcasts, post-production, and digital content creation.

Transitioning from industry to academia, she joined MIT Art, Design and Technology University as an Assistant Professor, where she teaches media production, digital storytelling, and communication. She combines industry practices with experiential learning, encouraging students to develop creative problem-solving skills through project-based education.

Her academic interests lie at the intersection of digital media, immersive storytelling, political communication, and emerging technologies. Ankita is passionate about introducing students to industry-standard creative tools and workflows. She believes that exposing students to professional technologies brings curiosity, encourage experimentation, and empowers students to create meaningful experiences through design, technology, and storytelling.
