Akshay is an architect and furniture designer whose work is based on structured spatial design and tactile, user-centric innovation. Armed with a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the Marian College of Architecture and Planning, Trivandrum and a Master’s in Design specializing in Furniture Design from CEPT University, his design ideology is deeply rooted in refining complex functional needs into beautifully simple, innovative forms. Beyond his academic foundations, he operates a dynamic freelance practice, crafting thoughtful interior and architectural environments across both residential and commercial spaces.
Throughout his journey, Akshay has consistently been recognized for his design excellence and leadership. His academic and early professional career is highlighted by a national nomination for the prestigious NIASA Excellence in Architecture Thesis award in 2021. Demonstrating a strong ethos of leadership and institutional trust, he was also selected to serve as the Program Ambassador for the Master’s in Furniture Design program at CEPT University.
Driven by a highly multidisciplinary approach, his expertise spans intricate space planning, technical execution, and bespoke furniture layout. When he isn’t shaping physical environments, his creative vision is fuelled by a rich palette of personal interests that inform his aesthetic sensibilities including urban sketching, cinematic frame composition, landscape design, and photography. Akshay approaches every project with the collaborative spirit of an inventor and a specialist, bringing a uniquely holistic perspective to contemporary space-making.
