Aroop Dwivedi has done his MA from Kanpur University.
He is an Indie Animator, illustrator, content writer, history enthusiast and educator.
After learning animation from Heart Animation Academy Hyderabad, in 1999 he joined the Animation Industry as an Animator and worked in several studios like Dataquest Information Technologies and Danlaw Technologies India.
In 2006 he joined Raj Comics Pvt Ltd, Delhi- as an animation trainer and started teaching young aspiring animators.
He has since then made a transition from Production to Education and has taught in different institutions and universities.
He has also worked as a Content and Training resource person in I-nurture Pvt Limited, Bangalore where along with his team of content writers, he developed SLM (Self Learning Modules) for Distant education course being offered by KSOU, Mysore and Bharathidasan University, Trichy.
He has been working as an assistant professor in MIT Art Design and Technology University since 2013, where along with teaching students and mentoring their projects he also makes short films.
Like any other independent animation film maker, he produces and animates his own films.
The films that he has made have gone on and found a lot of domestic and international recognition, along with several awards and accolades.
He has also acted as a jury member in popular film festivals in Manchester, U.K and Yerevan, Armenia.
He is also an illustrator who does travel reportage comics, which is an unusual and a rare genre-through his comics he provides a light hearted take on his misadventure in different parts of the worlds that he has travelled to.
He likes photography and travelling and travel photography.
