Aryan Halkude is an Assistant Professor in the User Experience Department (UXD) at the MIT Institute of Design, where he strives to bring together the worlds of technology, storytelling, and human-centered design. With a background in Computer Engineering and a Master’s degree with specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Aryan combines technical expertise with a deep passion for research and design.
While working on a research project at IIT Bombay, Aryan recognized a recurring challenge — the disconnect between technical innovation and human-centered design. This gap revealed how traditional design thinking often meets “State of the Art” technologies only halfway. Aryan’s academic and research work focuses on integrating emerging technologies with design practices.
Outside of academia, Aryan is driven by a deep love for cinema, art, and literature. Always accompanied by music, a touch of quirky aesthetics, and humour to foster open dialogue with students and co-workers.
