Assistant Professor Gauri Karanjkar is a dedicated design educator and researcher based in Pune. She holds a B.Des in Knitwear Design from NIFT Mumbai and is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art and Design. With a specialized focus in knitwear, Gauri’s academic and research interests center around Indian heritage and handicrafts, with an emphasis on their revival and relevance in modern contexts. She believes deeply in the value of lifelong learning and is constantly exploring new skills to expand her creative practice — currently delving into pottery alongside her ongoing research in textile craft traditions.
