Asst. Prof. Priyanka Ghaisas

Studio potter, mural artist, teacher, singer, dancer – any of these roles can not singularly describe Priyanka’s passion as an artist, since she has played all of these roles with boundless joy and zest throughout her life.

Graduated in Visual arts and post graduated in Fine Arts from Sir J J School of Art, Priyanka began her career as a freelance mural artist, wherein she got highly interested in clay and mixed media. Here onwards she began working with various types of clay and started exploring pottery, which soon developed into her only true calling. Thus, she ended up opening and managing her own professional pottery studio and here she worked extensively with handmade forms of pottery.

She joins MIT ID as an assistant professor and keenly looking forward to both teaching as well as learning from her experience here at MIT ID.
