Rahul Satyavada is a multidisciplinary designer, educator, and research scholar with a strong inclination toward UX, supported by a solid background in transportation design and product design. With over six years of combined academic and industry experience, he brings a human-centered perspective to mobility, interaction, and interface design. His professional journey began with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Gitam University, followed by a Master’s in Automotive Product Design from MS Ramaiah University, where he graduated with distinction. He further strengthened his academic and research profile through a part-time PhD at Karnavati University (UID), focusing on Adaptive HMI for Drivers with ADHD in Mobility UX.
Professionally, Rahul has contributed to UX strategy and product planning at Hyundai R&D, where he worked on identifying Indian market trends, user insights, and opportunity areas through research and cross-functional collaboration. His project experience spans automotive UX, campus digital platforms, and interface-led concepts, reflecting a balanced ability to translate research into meaningful design outcomes. He has also been recognized through publications, conference presentations, and awards, including first prize in the C2P2 competition for campus app prototyping.
As an educator, Rahul has taught across institutions such as MIT ADT University, DY Patil University, Vishwakarma University, Indus University, and Woxsen University, delivering courses in UI/UX, interaction design, product design, and design research. His teaching practice is rooted in mentoring, design thinking, and studio-based learning, helping students build strong conceptual and practical foundations.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Foundation Design Department at MIT ADT University, Rahul continues to combine research, industry insight, and pedagogy to shape future designers. His work reflects a commitment to designing experiences that are thoughtful, research-driven, and responsive to human needs.
