Saurabh Bedarkar is a product designer, prototyping specialist, and design educator with an international footprint in sustainable design. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design and Innovation (with Honorable Mention) from Besign The Sustainable Design School in Nice, France, and a Bachelor of Design from the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru. Prior to joining MITID, Saurabh served as a Design Professor and Prototyping specialist at Besign School in France.
As an expert in digital fabrication and "thinking by making," Saurabh co-founded The BeLab in France, where he led applied research in regenerative biomaterials, including 3D printing with organic waste materials. His diverse industry experience spans roles as a CAD and fabrication consultant for high-end jewelry prototyping and production, lighting design production, and service design for civic climate action. He is proficient in advanced 3D modeling and visualization softwares.
