Swarnima Dwivedi is a designer who thrives at the intersection of systems, stories, and strategy. With a Master’s in Strategic Design Management from NIFT Kannur and a Bachelor’s in Lifestyle & Accessory Design from NIFT Chennai, she brings a multi-layered perspective to every project—balancing form, function, and meaning. She is upskilling through IIT Delhi’s Certificate Programme in Design Thinking for User Experience. The course deepens her focus on UI/UX and human-centred innovation. Currently, Swarnima is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Fashion Design department at MIT Institute of Design (MITID).

She has worked as an Academic Associate and Graphic Designer at JK Lakshmipat University in Jaipur where she led communication design, institutional branding, and mentored students across disciplines. Past roles at Brand Zero, Zola India, Aman Mathur Fashion House saw her designing interactive products, packaging, and craft-inspired jewellery—blending emotion, culture, and commerce.

Swarnima’s design approach is deeply rooted in research and empathy. Her work spans from exploring emotional connection in long-distance relationships through haptic and tangible interfaces to reimagining traditional crafts for contemporary markets. Her thesis investigated smart device interactions using modalities like haptics and electrochromic displays, while other projects focused on craft revival and modular home solutions—guided by market analysis and strategic tools like SWOT and the Value Proposition Canvas. She combines conceptual clarity with technical skill, crafting purposeful, visually engaging solutions. Driven by a belief that design is a bridge between people and possibility, she aims to build experiences that are intuitive, inclusive, and impactful.
