Prof. Anant is a hardcore Engineering Postgraduate having a good innovative mind. A person with a very cool head on his young shoulders is known for his innovative and creative ideas in education. He did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering and his post graduation in Production engineering with 'Manufacturing Automation' as a specialization. After spending 6 years in small and medium scale industry, he joined MIT in 1993 as a junior lecturer in Production Engineering Department. He was instrumental for bringing latest technology to the institute and started MIT CAD CAM Training and Design Centre in the year 2000.

His last responsibility was as the Head of Workshop and Production Engineering Department. Presently he is the Dean of MIT Academy of Engineering, MIT Art, Commerce and Science College, MIT School of Telecom Management and Dean – Design Habitat of MIT Institute of Design. His areas of interests are Analytical Drawing, Manufacturing Processes, Product Development, CAD CAM Automation, Tool Design and Development. He has undergone various Training programs in all these areas. He has also worked on many industrial projects dealing with tool design, product design and development. He has visited Italy, France, Germany, China and Malaysia for attending various conferences and meetings.

He has habit of Dreaming about the new ventures and through his hard-work he conceptualizes those nicely and effectively. In-fact MIT ID is the brain child of Prof. Anant His further aim is establish a 'Design Habitat' which will have facilities of learning in the areas of Fine arts, Design, Architecture. He also has plans to start giving services to the industry and society in these areas through 'MIT Industrial Design Centre'.
