In present times, India is emerging as a hub for versatile AI augmented storytelling, and a 2D and 3D animation content creating powerhouse, supporting intellectual property generation in the field of animation and game design industries. As time progresses, new and innovative technologies, such as VR, AR, XR, and the metaverse, are opening up new horizons and job opportunities every day. AI technology is thriving on such tools as procedural environments, generative models for character design and real-time motion capture to enhance production value and shorten the production cycles. The focus of the industry is currently on hyper-personalised experiences and the infinitely scalable virtual worlds.
MIT ID’s Animation Design curriculum nurtures innovative thinking in students, enabling them to tackle such challenges both in the local and global context. Our carefully designed program empowers students to solve complex communication design-based problems using animation as a medium. MIT ID Animation program highly encourages and motivates students towards entrepreneurship and start-ups. The goal of the program is the development of industry-ready, skilled professionals and complete filmmakers, following India’s national education policy.
MIT ID animation program offers a well-balanced curriculum that encompasses major and minor courses such as visual development for narrative and non-narrative animation, character designing and storyboarding, animation fundamentals and advanced animation techniques with both 2D and 3D mediums, motion graphics, stop motion animation, along with related skills such as graphic novel development, experimental animation, narrative illustration, user-centric animation, sound design, VFX for film and game.
